Hi,
I have an issue with one of my blade server with the Bios post completion error. The server is hung at the discovery.
I have tried reseat the blade, the tried to recover the corrupt BIOS and it failed.
This is a new server and no SP attached. Is there abything I need to try.
The f/w running is 2.1.(1a).

If you have already tried blade re-seat, you can try CMOS re-seat. Remove the CMOS battery, wait for sometime (5 Minutes or so) and put it back in. Then put the blade back in the slot and see if it helps.

Hello Jibby,
Has this blade ever worked ?
How it got into this error state ?
Please reset CMOS from UCSM instead of physically removing it from blade.

Hi padma,
Resetting the CMOS through UCSM didnt help. Its hung with same error.
The blade never worked. This is a whole new setup.
Initially the FI and the components of the blade comes with f/w 2.0., except the VIC1280 which has a f/w revision of 2.1.
So during the initial discovery process this blade failed with discovery. I then upgrades the whole environment to 2.1.(1a) version hoping that it will resolve the issue, but still sthe same problem.
The discovery process is hung at the BIOS post.

Hello Jibby,
I would suggest you to open a TAC service request with UCSM and chassis tech support log bundles.
We need to go through logs to further troubleshoot this issue.

Did you get a resolution Jibby?
I'd be interested to know what it was?
Thanks
