KVM - BIOS-Policies

Hi!

A customer of us Currently operates VMware 5.5 on their UCS hardware.
For that BIOS adapter Policies were created for VMware .

Now wthe customer also wants to use KVM as a hypervisor on it and needs the corresponding policies .
Where can I find information for this?

So far I found only on the following link :

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/solutions/Enterprise/Data_Center/Virtualization/flexpod_rhel.html#wp588762

There , however, only the adapter-policy for RHEL 6 is defined , but not the BIOS Policy.

Besides, I do not know whether the configuration fits for KVM on RHEL 6 or generally applies only to RHEL 6

Does anybody know that?

Thanks!

Hi Mike

I believe, that once you create a service profile, you can select from predefined adaptor policies, like: "VMware", "Windows", "Linux",...

I don't think that there is e.g. a specific one for RHEL, SUSE,.....

or you can create your own Ethernet and Fibre channel Adapter Policy

We do not provide one per OS but this may help you with the BIOS config part...
