Just finished connecting our 4th chassis and it is showing the following error: "right IOM 4/2 (B) POST Failure"
Attached is a screenshot of what I see in UCS Manager under Chassis 4 Faults and POST Results on the General tab for Chassis 4.
Any ideas on how to correct? Or has anyone seen this before?

Drew,
If this is not yet production, you can try to reset the IOM and force it to re-POST. From UCSM, select the IOM in question and click "Reset". This will take about 6-7mins to process. Alternately you can physically remove the IOM, wait 10sec. and then re-insert it. This will also force a the POST to kick off again.
If the IOM still fails POST, then gather the following output and raise a TAC case as suggested.
For UCSM 1.4 or later:
1. Go to the Admin tab, select the top level of the navigation tree and highlight "All".
2. On the right side you should see a link to "Create and Download Tech support" Information"
3. Select the local path to save the output file
4. Select "Chassis" and enter the Chassis ID #
5. Select "IOM" below and leave "All" selected.
For UCSM 1.3 or earlier:
1. SSH to Virtual IP of UCSM, login with Admin credentials.
2. Issue "connect local"
3. Issue "show tech-support chassis X all detail", where X = the Chassis # for this IOM.
Gathering this file ahead of time and attaching it to your TAC case when you open it along with a good description of the issue will speed up the resolution.
Regards,
Robert

POST stands for Power-On, Self Test.
If POST fails, I suggest you contact TAC and request for an RMA.

Thank you Robert, resetting the IOM fixed the issue.
Went to Equipment, Chassis, Chassis 4, IO Modules, IO Module 2, then clicked Reset IO Module and after about 5 minutes the error went away.
Thanks for your helpful response!

Drew,
There is also a TAC KB out on this issue. If you IOM still reverts back to POST warning, please file a case with TAC and send them the following,
1. Tech support file on the UCSM
2. Tech file on the IOM
3. The IOM Serial Number
They will review the files and ship you a new one if need be. My last install was a replacment.
Cheers,
Dave

For reference: CSCtl77232
As Dave mentioned you'd want a TAC case open to confirm any bugs suspected or encountered.

Robert
