Hi,
I need to know the level of redundancy between the servers in the blade
If I have Hyper-V cluster on the 8-servers in a chassis. And there are some VMs created on these servers.
Then If I shutdown one server. Are the VMs will move automatically to an available server ?
Is it controlled from Hyper-V cluster ? and what if there is no free server with the required resources to accept the moved VMs ?
Thanks

Best practise would be to have 2 chassis, with 4 blades (or more each); building a cluster across 2 chassis, avoiding a chassis single point of failure.
Hyper-V has a similar function like "server mainenance mode" in vSphere. All the VM's are redistributed across the remaining cluster hosts.
It's your design task, to make sure that enough capacity is available.

Thanks Walter
So what is the best test for the customer for the servers redundancy on 1 chassis
or do you know a link for the UCS NFRU or UAT ?
Thanks
