I updated the asdm to 6.3(4) and updated software to 8.2(3). I'm appear to be able to reliably make changes in both cli and asdm.

Seems like it would be easier to set it up like the old telephone operator did. When someone wants to talk to another, just plug both into the switch, then after a prearranged time limit unplug both then wait for the next request.

I see what you mean about the run-config. Not too sure what i did there. We're in the middle of election stuff right now so i'll have to get back tomorrow hopefully.

I have to agree with your assement. Here is the config. I sure hope it's just a configuration issue.
