I've a 1760-V router conected to a PBX (Harris), the problem is I can do only 3 calls at a time, the call 4 doesnt get started, Ive 4 DSP and using Codec g729, at least 8 call could be at the same time.

The main conf is:

Check here:

http://cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/routers/ps221/prod_configuration_guide09186a0080106d1c.html

Also check the dsp resource calculator on this page.

Thanks for your help, I'd read that document and also used the DSP calculator thats why I think that at least 8 calls could be running at the same time (Im using 4 DSP's, PVDM-256K-4 + PVDM-256K-12), the interface to PBX is VWIC-1MFT-E1 and configured as ds0-group 1 timeslots 1-15,17-24 type r2-digital dtmf dnis

WE can't use other Codec like g711 because remote partners have not enough bandwith available, but with 8 calls running at this main pint will be enough.

A'll appreciate if you have somethin else

you might want to try some debugs to see what is happening try debug vpm dsp and debug vpm error for a start

This is what I found when debug vpm dsp & vpm error were enabled (Ican't find the code meaning):

i have seen something similar to this once, and it had to do with a bad dsp chip. the system doesn't always tell you when a dsp chip goes bad, it just limits you abiliy to place calls over those dsps. there are dsp test commands (some are actually hidden) that will run some kind of loopback test on all your dsp chips in the system. just remember to have " term mon" on if you are doing this remotely.

let's know how it turns out.

Hi,

Try the voice-card command under global config and add the codec complexity as medium under that. This may help.

Thanks
