Hi everyone,
Our customer (and i) complains about slow call setup when doing outbound calls from SPA phones on UC560-BRI-K9.
User types the called number and presses the Dial button on the phone and it takes around 10 seconds for the call to go out on SIP trunk. I veryfied with »debug ccsip messages« and it is true. 10 seconds after the dial button has been pressed i can see the debug started and the call goes out via sip trunk instantly.
In telephony-service we set up interdigit timeout to 5 seconds, still no improvement.
This is the peer configuration:
!
dial-peer voice 500 voip
description *** PROVIDER - Peer ***
translation-profile incoming IN_FROM_PROVIDER
translation-profile outgoing OUT_TO_PROVIDER
destination-pattern 0T
session protocol sipv2
session target sip-server
session transport udp
incoming called-number <inbound-numbers>
voice-class codec 1
voice-class sip profiles 1
dtmf-relay rtp-nte
fax rate 9600
fax protocol pass-through g711alaw
no vad
no supplementary-service sip moved-temporarily
!
Even when using speed-dials, user does not know if the call was initiated. After pressing the speed-dial, user has to wait for 10 seconds (with blank phone screen) for phone to display the call on the phone and only after 10 seconds the user gets the information that the call is in progress by ringback tone and with screen status of the call - this is even more painful for them.
I have also shut down the BRI ports, still no progress.
Hope to get some feedback on this,
regards!

You should configure a perfect match for called numbers, not using T in destination-pattern.

Are you using the SPA phones with SCCP or SIP protocol?
What happens if you press the "#" at the end of the number?
