I have found a strange thing happening with my SPA504G phones. When an incoming call lights up the BLF key and sounds the speaker on the handset, after the call is picked up somewhere else and the phone goes back into idle mode there is white noise coming from the speaker. If you lift and replace the handset or press a line key and then hang up the white noise stops. It is very annoying to be sitting beside the phone and hearing this noise constantly.
Is this a bug in the firmware ? I am running 7.6.0.

I have tested each firmware release from 7.5.2b to 7.6.0, behaviour is exactly the same. I have also tested between two SPA504G's and the white noise problem occurs on both.

Yes, it's behavior observer years ago. I'm sure there's thread dedicated to it, unsure I'm author of it or I just posted comments to others thrad. I didn't found it yet.
It's firmware bug. Only Cisco can solve it.

Thanks Dan - is there a way I can report it ? Sounds like it won't be fixed if the issue has been round for years now.
