upgrading SPA504G via UC500 and not SPA50x-30x-7-5-x

Is there a way to upgrade the SPA504 using the UC540 system and not the SPA50x-30x-7-5-x application?  I have uploaded both the

SPA50x-30x-7-5-3 and SPA50x-30x-7-5-4 to the UC540 but the SPA504 will not download the new bin files; I guess I'll have to go direct from my laptop to the SPA504; unless anyone has done this successfully?

Hi  isiconsultants, if the SPA50x phones are on less than 7.5.2 then you must upgrade to the 7.5.2 and then 7.5.4.

the phone is on 7.5.2b...I'll try again and then try going direct from my laptop to the phone to upgrade from 7.5.2b to 7.5.4 so that the SPA504 can take advantage of the SPA500DS

I tried using the CCA but it doesnt allow me to upload a BIN file, only software packs.  Am I looking in the wrong area?

ok, got over those hurdles; I was able to drag and drop the bin files to upgrade the SPA504 to the latest firmware, yay!!!  

However, I still can't get the SPA504 to add the SPA500DS via CCA.  Meaning my SPA504G only recognizes the SPA500S; how do I get the SPA504G to recognize the SPA500DS?

Does the SPA504 work with the SPA500DS?  I would assume so BUT how do I get it to show up in CCA?  is there another way?

At this time the SPA500DS is not supported within CCA.

is it supported in CLI?  I have a hard time believing that the SPA500DS and SPA504 cannot play together on the UC540W platform.  The SPA phones were designed specifically for the UC320 and UC500 platforms, if I'm not mistaken.

Hello Hector,

No, this is not available in CLI. Under the ephone command: type PhoneType addon 1 SidecarType, there is no option for the 500DS.
