WAP321 speed very low sinc update to firmware 1.0.6.2

Dear all,

I just update my WAP321 (WAP321-E-K9 V01) with the last firmware 1.0.6.2 and now the speed drop down very quickly when you increase the distance from the AP. It ran previously on the 1.0.5.3 version.

As an example, the same Laptop on the same location was at 216Mbps before the update, to a range of 5.5 to about 50 Mbps after the upgrade :-(

When I take this laptop near the WAP (1 meter), the speed increase to 300Mbps.

So it is clear that the update is the cause. So do we need to update some other parameters to recover the high speed?

Do I have to performes other Test?

Here are some info on my configuration :

You can't rely on the reported connected rate too much.  Perhaps the WiFi NIC is able to use power saving now that it could not before.

Transfer a big file, and time it (or use a tool to measure the actual throughput).  It's the only real test that means anything.

Thanks Philip to take time to reply me,

but I performed several tests of tranfering files from and to a NAS in my local network connected with ethernet to my Switch Cisco SG300, and the results is a very sever drop of speed.

An other strange fact is the power of receiption on the laptop (and on my Android smart phone) is Good (4 on a maximum of 5), but the speed is moving from 120Mbps to 30Mbps very quickly... seem to be very instable...

To be honest, I see a slight improvement after a complet shut-down (and not only a restart via the Administrative page). But I not revover the speed of before the upgrade.

Do you know if it exist a "user guide for WIFI AP parameteres"? May be I have wrong parameters since the firmeware update?

Thanks.

Many thks.

I will continue to search a bit. And if i don't find somthing to fix this, I will try the Downgrade.

thks. bye.
