Hellol,

I have a new AIR-AP1852I-B-K9 and want to add it to the rest of the APs in cisco wirelss controller 2500.

I thought there should be a place in web UI to add mac address and that should do everything else.

please help. thanks

Licensing is good.
So the AP has NEVER joined the controller before, right? SO console into the AP and reboot. Post the entire boot-up process.
Alternatively, enter this command into the AP: capwap ap primary-base <WLC NAME> <WLC MANAGEMENT IP ADDRESS>

  1. Make sure AP is in correct mode and All Radios are enabled(802.11a/n/ac and 802.11b/g/n).
  2. AP should be part of AP group which has SSID added to it.
  3. SSID is enabled and broadcasting.
  4. There is DHCP server available for clients to grab IP address. If not then you can also configure one on WLC.
  5. Check on you phone or laptop for SSID availability and test connecting to it.

1. connect the AP to swicth in smae vlan as other APs are.

AP should get IP and WLC IP to join .......if not

then paste the output of these commands:

sh sysinfo from WLC

sh version from AP

complete boot-up process from AP console.

Post the complete output to the following commands:
1. WLC: sh sysinfo;
2. WLC: sh time;
3. AP: sh version; and
4. AP: sh ip interface brief

Can you post the complete output to the command "sh license".

show license all

Hmmmm .... Can you post the output to the command "sh license capacity"?

I see AP joined, what else I need to do to make sure it is working  and client are connected to it?
