Access points have such parameter as "Antenna Gain". Is it informational parameter used for ex. by Prime or it influences on how access point is working ?

Setting that parameter tells the WLC what the passive gain is on your antenna which it then uses to factor in the RF power calculations. This is very important as it ensures you are always keeping within the legal limits of your environment and not accidentally at a higher power.

To find out your antenna gain just check out the datasheet and make sure you set it for both radios where required.

From a performance perspective it also ensures your devices aren't receiving a very strong signal but are unable to send anything back because they are so far away from the AP.

Andrey,

it impacts directly in how the antenna works, because every single antenna has a gain parameter, let' say antenna AIR-ANT4941 is for 2.2 dbi, therefore you need to set this on the WLC for the Access point to work as the way it should.
