AP 1242 problem with repeater mode

Hi,

I have one problem with AP 1242.

The APs came as LAP image and i convert thim to autonomous image.

When i put thim in the autonomous mode and configured thim the radio is normal in the root mode, but when i put in the repeater mode the radios stays in status reset and protocol down. It happened in both.

Hi,

Repeater Mode needs a parent AP with the exact same configuration to get associated with the Root only then the Radio will come up, else it will be RESET down..

Its like this..

ROOT AP )))))))) ((((((((((( REPEATER AP.

The repeater is a infrastructure device which gets associated with the Root AP.. Repeater alone with out a ROOT will not work..

If the Repeater AP is not associating with the Root then we can troubleshoot..
