Catalyst C9100 Series AP - Data Stream interruption every few seconds

Hello Cisco specialists,

Thank you in advance for your answers!

My new access point C9115AXI-E has constant interruptions in the data stream.
I only use this device from Cisco, it has the integrated EWC and is connected to an Asus RT-AC88U router.

I especially notice the problem when making calls with telephone software. The audio stream is interrupted every few seconds.
I also see this with LAN internal data transfers of files in the Windows10 Wifi monitor of the client.

More info:
- The distance between AP and client is 1 meter, but i tried also with 5 meters.

- The EWC and firmware version is the latest.

- The problem also exists with other client devices in the local network
- The problem is the same with 2.4 and 5 Ghz.
- When I connect to the Asus router's wifi (this is normally switched off) everything is ok.

Please note that I am a private user and only operate a home network. My knowledge is superficial.

Below are the screenshots from the client pc during a phone call

Connected to Asus - OK

Connected to Cisco AP - Not ok

The EWC and firmware version is the latest. - what version?

Have you made sure you're using the latest Intel drivers?

Have you checked the logs on WLC and AP?

Hello rrudling,

thank you for the fast help!

A mishap happened to me, I overlooked that an update for the AP came out two weeks ago.
I have now installed the actual 17.3.2a.

I also downloaded from the Intel homepage and installed the latest software for the wireless chip built into the client,  .

Then I did tests with phone calls, downloads from the Internet and local data transfers without having any problems or large fluctuations in the client's wifi monitor.
I think the problem is solved.

Thank you for your very helpful input!!!

Hello,

i have to come back on this topic, because after few days the issue is again present.

The Wifi have interruptions like described in the first post.

Now i use the latest firmware 17.4.1

I noticed, when i restart the AP (unplug the RJ45 Poe for some minutes) the problem is gone for some days.

I will bring up again my problem...

Someone can help me please?
