Hi, The software you are running does not support the wireless controller.Cisco are dropping the wireless controller feature after 16.3. If you need wireless, you will have to downgrade to 16.3 Thanks John

Hi,

You should be fine downgrading to 3.6.6E as long as your switch supports that version. Follow the downgrade  to 3.x steps in the release notes at the following link:

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/switches/lan/catalyst3850/software/release/16-6/release_notes/ol-16-6-3850.html#pgfId-1195184

To find the difference between 16.6.3 and 3.6.6E, use the Cisco Feature Navigator:

Thanks

John

Hey John.

Thanks for the info - can confirm that I upgraded from 3.xxx to 16.12 and had this issue.

Downgraded too 16.3.8 and works a treat.
