Normally when roaming if the AP's share the same site tag and policy tag then clients when roaming would not be required to go through the DHCP process again.
My question has to do with DHCP required option. Does that option force the client to go through DHCP every time it roams even when the access points share the same site tag and policy tag?
Thanks

DHCP required works on the client connection not in roaming. Roaming should not force DHCP change. DHCP and authentication should maintain on the roaming.

@Jason C also keep in mind that the endpoint devices are the ones that would trigger a dhcp request, so its the behaviour of the device vs the wireless. Lets take an example of a bad ap, if a devices is connected and roams to the bad ap that is broadcasting the same SSID, the device still thinks it has a valid ip address, even though, the traffic is not getting to the gateway, like in a blackhole situation. Typically the device will pop up a message of some sort stating there is no internet connection and the user would most likely toggle the wireless on and off.
