Cisco access point support

Im using cisco aironet 2800 access point, but nowadays its frequently restarting.  Suddenly blue light become green steady light and its starting blinking, then all indications are complete blank then again green comes and turn to blue and started working normally. 1-2 minutes wifi outage happening. How to solve the issue?

Sounds like the AP has crashed.

Any solution for this error,  instead of replacment of the device.

Post the complete output to the command "sh version".

- Check if the network connection of the AP is stable: look at speed and
duplex status. Also look at the interface counters of the switchport where
the AP is connected to.

  • Check AP uptime on the Controller.
  • Check Switch interface statistics for any errors.
  • Check WLC logs to see if anything reported from the AP

It does look like AP Radio crash (may be a software bug). What is the WLC model and the code it's running on?

Check the AP logs to confirm the reason for the crash.  If it was an AP crash you should find the crash file on the WLC.  If it was radio crash the logs will be on the AP.

For software/firmware bugs your first action should be to upgrade to latest TAC recommended release (link below).
