Error while upgrade 17.14.1 1from 17.9.4 Lock held for excessive time

Environment :- 9800-80 SSO.

Issue logs :-

Solution :-

C9800#config t
C9800(config)#service internal
C9800(config)#end
C9800#wr mem
C9800#clear install state

Note :- Require downtime / OOB / Test Env / Preprod.

After reload select 1 shot upgrade.
Upgrade successful.

Yes you'll see similar discussions on here already.  The install scripts are slow and very buggy, especially if you have previously had any SMU or APSP installed as they tend to cause a permanent corruption of the install database which results in it trying to reference files which have already been removed therefore causing any future install to fail.
"clear install state" cleans out those corruptions allowing it to work properly after that.
