Guest Anchor WLC Backup

We have a Cisco 3504 WLC anchor controller that provides anchoring to several remote foreign controllers for certain WLAN's.  This anchor is a single point of failure, and we are looking at options for providing redundancy in the event of a controller hardware failure.  Is it possible to use SSO for this use case?  Or would it be better to point the foreign controllers to multiple anchors?  Can a WLAN on a foreign controller be associated with multiple anchors?

With newer code you can define the primary and secondary. Take a look at the configuration guide for the code you are using. That will explain the anchoring better.

That is up to you. I would rather prefer N+1 in case you have an issue with SSO. You don’t get anything from SSO anyways in anchoring.

Ok, For clarification, can a WLAN on a foreign controller be pointed to multiple anchors? Do you adjust the priorities in this configuration having the secondary anchor with a higher priority in case the primary anchor fails?
