Help! Bridge wireless intermittent

I installed two br350.

Every 18 minutes (circa) the link go down.

Log from non-root "Lost authentication with parent"

then "Deauthenticating [root bridge], reason "not autenticated"

then "Associated to Parent"

This loop go away for 7-10 times, then the link go up for other 18 minutes, then the loop start again.

Check your CCA value - if set to default 62 - you must set it to something other than default. Set to 61 or 60. There is an open caveat on that issue - has to do with noise signal ratio or something like that.

The CCA problem only applies to IOS. BR350 runs VxWorks.

How do you connect the antenna and 350 bridge? (i.e. connect one of the ports or both ports)

If you connect only one port, you need to set the antenna from diversity to right (or left).

i.e.

1. click on "Setup" in the GUI

2. click on "Hardware" beside Radio

3. Check the Receive and transmit Antenna

I have already done it.

Fist I thought that it was a visibily problem, so I moved the antenna; but the situation has not changed.

I wonder why this problem happened every 18 minutes.

I have exactly the same problem, with the same equipment. I changed the antennas to the primary(right) and so far the problem has not re-occured (the disconnection).

Will continue to monitor and see how this goes.

When the bridge link is active, what is the signal strength to the non-root bridge?

Click "Associations"

Click the MAC Address of the non-root bridge.

Go down and look for "Latest signal strength"

If it's really low, you need to realign. How far apart are the bridges and what kind of antenna are you using?

I'm using two bridges 350 with yagi 13,5 dBi antennas. The distance is 1,5 Km.

The antennas is just primary (right).

Now I can't see the signal strength, but Tuesday I'll see it.

In your opinion, why the disconnections are periodically, with this kind of regolarity?

Which version of the VxWorks OS are you using?

We found that only version 12.03T & above are stable for outdoor deployment.

The initial 12.0x releases (including version 12.00 that shipped with the unit) suffer from link stability issue similar to your situation.

I have a similar intermittent link issue with 1242APs used as RootAP/Workgroup bridge combination. The user does not perceive the Radio link going down and up, because the recovery is pretty fast.

As can been seen in the logs below, the reason is max retries exceeded. Is there a way, we can improve the situation? or is this normal?

Moreover, my link tests show higher SNR a max of 254 in one direction. The other way around, it is low.. How do i interpret these results...?

Any help is appreciated.
