Hi all,
We just implemented wireless system for our Warehouse with WLC 2500 series and Access point 2802e.
The issue is when users take the PDA go around the warehouse, sometime PDAs didn't connect to nearest AP. So the signal is not well and cannot use the application.
Can anyone help me why the PDAs didn't connect to nearest AP? Can we configure to always connect to nearest AP?
Thank you!

We get this complaints a lot. It is not a "Cisco thing-y". This is wireless as a whole.
Wireless clients make the "ultimate" decision when to roam and which AP to roam to. The most common cause of this behaviour is when the wireless clients are loaded with "interim" wireless NIC firmware. Updating them always make significant improvements to roaming.

Hi Leo Laohoo,
Thank you for your advise.
Actually, we already updated drivers and firmware for my laptop but not yet fixed this issue.
For our PDA and mobile printer, we will try to upgrade to latest OS version and test.
Thank you.

Clients always decide what AP to connect to? have you done a site survey and installed the correct AP in the right area and quantity to meet the requirement?
Also, post the information WLC version of code running,
If the user device did not find SSID that means there is no coverage or blind spot. ( as suggested do a site survey again to fix the issue)

Hi BB,
Thank you for the advise.
In my case, I stand in front of AP1 with good signal (about 2m) but my PC connects to AP2 with distant about 20m.
