Need To buy new WLC and Access Points

Hi,

Im planning to buy new C9800-L-F-K9 WLC and 9124AX series access points to connect parallel to existing 5508 WLC and 1562 series APs. 

I would appreciate if someone can explain me the license that i need to purchase with the WLC. total number of APs are 35.

Cat 9800 -L you can buy with a basic License which supports 250AP.

Look at License section :

F -Fibre link and C - Copper uplink  - so choose the model depending on your switch.

Are you planning to migrate the 1562's from existing 5508 to 9800's while having 9124 serving clients? If yes then you need a AIR-DNA license per each AP registering to 9800. 

9124's are usually bundled with AIR-DNA licenses while ordering. So in your case you can order AIR-DNA licenses for 1562 AP's only. Your BOQ may look like below;

9124 AP's - You need to add the mounting kit and select the correct regulatory domain. I have considered essentials license for all the APs, but you can change it to advantage if you have that requirement.

Now the challenge is to find an external antennas to go with the APs.

External antenna's must be selected only based on the site survey. If you want to go with Cisco branded then make sure that you select the Self identifying antenna's. If not you can also explore Ventev/Acceltex etc.

I was looking for a suitable external antenna to go with the 9124AXE-E model. I have came across with AIR-ANT2588P4M-NS

Any idea would this be compatible with the mentioned APs
