Not able to join 9124axi to 9115axi

I have joined ll Ap 9105axi but the 9124axi is not working.

First it was saying there was a different version of firmware. I have updated succefully the firmware but from that time on it did not join.

what WLC model and version, what is AP batch, looks some new AP required latest code on WLC?

what is the logs when the AP not joining WLC ?

the WLC is a 9115AXI

when trying to join it says unable to join.

9115 act as EWC, have check the comptability matrix - what Code running on the AP acting as EWC

connect the console and post complete boot logs and what fails ?

What version of software is running on your EWC?
Have you set up a TFTP server for the 9124 to download the software from and configured those details on the EWC?

I have requested TAC as the EWC seems odd. it stopped working and gives an error saying "filure to run nvram". Now i don´t know if the problem is really the 9115.

Hi Elsa,

Can you provide the below info

1. EWC version. 9124 AP is supported only from 17.6 or higher.

2. IOS version running in 9124?  You have to make sure that both the EWC and the new AP running the same code. You can manually update the 9124 before joining the EWC or you need to host the images in a TFTP server and configure TFTP in the EWC, so it can grab the image when the AP trues to register to the WLC.

3. Is 9124 Management and 9115 EWC WMI interface in the same VLAN? for EWC Cisco recommends that all the APs and the EWC WMI is in the same VLAN. You need to configure the Management VLAN as the native VLAN under all the EWC and AP connecting ports while allowing the other VLANs tagged to the SSIDs. (in EWC all APs work as Flexconnect APs)

The new 9124AXI i was trying to configure was in EWC mode and conflicted with the EWC that I already had.

I configured the EWC again and put the 9124AXI in CAPWAP before trying to connect to the EWC.
