I am looking for a process to restore an "out of the box" 2504 V7.4 WLC from a backup of itself.
I uploaded the config from the WLC and also took the recent running config from Prime 2.2. Neither of these looks alike and also both do not look like a "copy and paste" file we use to configure a WLC.
Is there a way to take one file from either the WLC or NCS to restore the WLCs original configs?
What are the differences between the WLCs uploaded file and version on Prime 2.2?

Thanks much. I follow you on Twitter and you are a wealth of knowledge.
Here is my problem. I have hundred of remote 2504/5508 WLCs. Some of these are high-profile and I want to back up these configs for "safe keeping" to send them to a tech in the field to copy/paste if the WLC should lose its configs. I have PI 2.2 and see the archived configs and I ran the below but neither look like something I can copy and paste to restore interfaces, WLANs, security, ......
How can I save and restore a complete WLC config either remotely or on site?
transfer upload mode tftp
transfer upload datatype config
transfer upload filename WLC-Config-Backup_STORE.txt
transfer upload path download/
transfer upload serverip 10.xx.xx.xx transfer upload start
