Does the 9105W hospitality AP, whether it's running on AireOS or 9800s, automatically disable radios as needed? For example, the 2800 XOR radio will ultimately go to Monitor mode as needed, but even if the 9105Ws aren't capable of doing that, it would be great if they could at least disable radios as needed.
We've been putting 1815Ws in every single room in our res halls (traditional, suites, and apartments including living rooms) and need to disable every other 2.4 GHz radio, and in some cases, even every other 5 GHz radio. I'm trying to make a case to use overhead APs like 9166s in every other or every third room instead. The APs being able to change their own radio status with RRM is one reason for overhead APs, however, if the 9105s do it, I would be less reluctant to move forward with them.

I haven't tried it but my reading of the docs leads me to believe it will not work with 9105W:
https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/controller/technotes/8-3/b_RRM_White_Paper/fra.html
https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/access_point/feature-matrix/ap-feature-matrix.html#_Toc118737959
But you could test it yourself ...

Thanks, Rich. That was also my assumption, since per those documents, changing radios to monitor mode is a function of FRA. The hospitality APs don't support FRA in general. I was hoping that, at the very least, radios could be disabled by RRM, even if they don't go to monitor mode.
As for testing, I'll have to report back in a couple years, haha, once we have the newer model (9105W or whatever comes after). Right now, we still only have 1815Ws; the two new res halls are still in planning.
