Unable to reconfigure second wlc unit to work in SSO mode

Hi all.

I tried to switch on SSO mode on both wlc 5520.

If I enter SSO mode on the second node I got an error:

>config redundancy mode sso

WARNING: 1. If peer unit's management and/or redundancy management entries are present as mobility members please remove them before enabling redundancy.
All unsaved configuration will be saved.
And the system will be reset. Are you sure? (y/n)y

Controller must be booted with primary image to enable redundancy mode

Currently, my boot images on second node are (on primary node these images are vice versa):

>show boot
Primary Boot Image............................... 8.5.182.0
Backup Boot Image................................ 8.10.151.0 (default) (active)

So, what is the fastest way to fix it?

If I do boot from my primary partition I think, I got version mismatch, and no SSO at all.

Is it possible to copy image from one partition to other?

Or I need to use external server to upload the same image to primary partition?

Thanks.

Hi,

1. First upgrade the Software on 2nd WLC to same version as Primary WLC.

2. Configure the redundancy Paramentes on both WLCs

3. Reboot WLCs on same time.

HI, I have already the same firmware version.

But on first node it is placed on primary partition, and on secondary node - on secondary partition.

Now I will try to upload again the same firmware to primary partition.

No need to do that - just switch boot image and reboot.
