i was traying to configure a 1300 AIRONET with two VLAN with autentication but i cant, can sme one suggest a configuratio.

Hi, I have a question about this document.

If you have two access points both with two VLANs (secure and not so secure) each how would you configure the other switch port? Each switch port would need to be configured as a trunk, correct?

Hi All,

Yes, the switch port that connect to the wireless AP need to be configured as trunk.

eg. int fa0/1

switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q

switchport trunk

switchport nonegotiate

switchport trunk allowed vlan A, B

Each vlan can support different encryption for wireless lan.

The only problem I face is whenever there is a fail link on the switch, the port that connect to the AP will transit trough Blocking, learning, etc which total to 18 tomeouts. This is unacceptable. Any solution for these ?

How would you configure the switch ports to accept traffic for the multiple VLANs on each access point connected to the same switch?
