Hi
Happy Holidays
We are trying to configure a DWDM interface from one asr 9k to another asr 9k both are running ios-xr 5.1.3
and both DWDM transceivers are in a A9k-MPA-4x10GE Spa within a A9k-mod80-tr.
our configuration goes like this :
Can anybody add something we get down down on both sides
ONS optical circuit is built and shows no errors . our chosen wave length is 1560.61.
we have very good confidence that the OTN path is not causing us problems.
All optical values meet or exceed other values of working circuits.

I think you're missing the "controller wanphy 0/1/0/0 wanmode on" config.
ps, minor thing but you displayed the 0/1/0/1 where the interface/dwdm controller is 0/1/0/0...

Yes , it's in the config
I had hand wrote it in the post so was probably not that clear.
I was editing out a few numbers also that was why the interface numbers didn't match.
We opened a TAC case with CISCO to hopefully bear fruit on what we could be missing.
Hope it's not a license . Which is required for the G.709 wrapper .

could you share the show controller dwdm <ctrlr> optics|tdc|pm history
and a show controller teng <if> mac|phy|stat|int
maybe that signifies something also.
one thing that pops into my mind also is possibly an unsupported optic possibly (eg due to hw rev).
Can you also show the run of the dwdm controller and the tengig interface?
that might give me some more clue.
If you can share the tac case ID then I can have a look there also to see if any of that info may be present already I Am looking for.

Update we may suspect that the cabling may have been crossed over to another circuit build that was under way. Cabling to Verify and report back. Will update with status when completed.

when it still doesn't work, the controller wan and controller teng all outputs would help me providing some extra suggestions.

From last update , cabling was going out to check our z site , it was found that the cabling was crossed with another build using the same lamba.
Once this was corrected the second link came up but ours did not. Troubleshooting found that the TX on the transceiver at the z end was -40
The dwdm transceiver was replaced and showed a 1.4 on the tx . Still the link did not come up . Troubleshooting found that the tx on the transceiver at the A end was -40
It was replaced yesterday and the link came up.

I'm having the same issue, but in my case I know the cabling is in place because the interfaces are connected directly to each other. This is in a lab where I'm trying to verify the functionality of these optics. The interface is sending and receiving light, but the 10G interface is still down/down.
