MAC Address table on IOS-XR xconnect

Hi

My understanding is that is that there is no MAC address learning on an xconnect, due to its p2p nature.

At the moment this causes us some issues with troubleshooting circuits that face off against external providers.

Is there nothing *nothing* stored, no even in the CEF or some other low level tables?

thanks

William,

There is nothing learned or kept about the traffic transversing an xconnect.  Simple a p2p xconnect is what ever comes in on one side goes out the other side.  We have stats as far as packet counts etc in the "show l2vpn" commands but nothing from the mac addresses or such is learned.  Now from a troubleshooting perspective, you could use SPAN or l2/l3 ACLs on them to check for hits.

Thanks,

Bryan
