Let me know what is the process to upgrade the IOS XR on this NSC-55A2-MOD-SE-S device

Hi, you can upgrade via usb

however it wont be graceful, it will wipe the routers disk and have it running the new code

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/iosxr/ncs5500/system-setup/75x/b-system-setup-cg-ncs5500-75x/perform-disaster-recovery.html

you will need to prepare the usb, download the usb image, extract to the root of the usb

hit esc or delete depending on the version of the bio and you can boot via usb

Like Tarun mentioned you can boot off usb to reimage the device. You can also store the regular image on usb and use usb (disk2) as the source for upgrading from the Exec prompt.
