we havePID: NCS-55A2-MOD-S Cisco and i want to upgrade IOSXR  

so please i need from expert IOS XR help me about the steps to upgrade NCS 55A2 Cisco

what is the target verion you looking to upgrade :

1. read the release notes and understand the caveats.

2. always take the backup out of the box (in case required)

3. do upgrade in maintenance window, device required to reboot.

we want to 7.4.2 iOSXR

The recommended versions are 7.4.2 and 7.5.2, so my advice is to go with these version.

Don't forget to install the available SMUs as well.
