Bootable iso?

TomMar1

Many posts point to PUT which appears to no longer be active.  Other posts 'show' how to create a bootable iso from a non bootable.

Is there a way to order a bootable iso?  Or do I need to use the non supported methods I am finding?

Thanks

PUT has been replaced by MCE (My Cisco Entitlements) that's the tool you would need to use (assuming your support contracts / POs entitle you to order the software you need)

The non-bootable to bootable options should not be used for a production environment in which you want Cisco support, such procedure turns any deployment which uses that method into an un-supported deployment.

As Java mentioned, PUT has been replaced by MCE.

You can access MCE portal from below link.

Non-Bootable to bootable won't be an option in production.

It appears I need to download software via an order number.  We are a large EA customer with dozens of orders and I do not see any that appear to contain UCM, CUC, UCCX, CER software.

Recommend you to reach out to your account team @cisco to get their help with this.

Thanks Roger, I have done so.  Not sure why when Cisco provides a new platform (MCE) the usability seems to take a step (or many) backwards.

As an EA customer I should have easier access to software than I currently do.  Generating licenses was also simpler prior to MCE.  Seems like I need TAC or my account team at every turn.

I feel your frustration, been in your situation all to many times. We’re also a EA customer and the only software that I recently personally have retrieved via MCE is CER 12 and 14. For any other I cannot say anything about them. About licensing, my experience lately is that it’s always needed to involve GLO, aka global licensing support, with all the frustration that this brings with it. ‘:-)’

Did you tried EA tab on MCE. I have no EA  customer  so never got a chance to try this menu.

For my customers I  place order for new version  license and software through MCE. and I feel it simpler than PUT.

Yes, I have.

This is where I can generate licenses for CUAC, UCM, CUC, CER, Expressways, TMS, VCS, Prime...  You cannot obtain software from that tab.  You really cannot even use the applications without the appropriate licenses so I am not sure why they have it so locked down.

TAC was responsive and sent me special download links to obtain the needed software, but opening a case and going back and forth seems unnecessary.

Unfortunately TAC did not send me links to bootable ISOs, so I have to start over with them...

As @Roger Kallberg mentioned, it is frustrating to see these new tools with improved complexity and not simplicity. Under "Version Upgrade" tab, I do see option to upgrade software from old to new version which eventually sends me edelivery message to download bootable file. Like @Roger Kallberg, I don't even see the full list of software that customer purchased.

Please rate helpful posts and if applicable mark "Accept as a Solution".
Thanks, Vaijanath S.

I've just had a look and I see the same for one of our customers, MCE under "Licence" / "Version Upgrade" it initially displays

"No Version Upgrades were found for the selected Smart Account and Virtual Account. If you feel you have received this message in error, please contact Cisco Support"

However selecting "User View" instead of "Account View" it show a list of orderable upgrades.  See screenshot.

I have been through that screen before.  That is where I am able to generate licenses for UCM, UCCX, ER, Prime, VMware, Webex, but not Unity.  When I have generated licenses for the listed applications above I have never been presented with the option to download or order a bootable ISO.  Also strange that version 14 is out (I am eligible for it under my contracts) but no v14's are listed.
