MRA phones are keep looping more than 30 times after power cycle

After power cycle- MRA phones are looping more than 30 times or half an hours before stable.

We have mostly 8865 with CUCM 12.5. Phones are interestingly keep looping several times before stable. Any thought or troubleshooting idea would be greatly appreciated.

Did you have this issue only with MRA Phones?

Only for MRA phones. Internal phone works as normal. When I Reset Security Settings in each phone- number of looping get reduced but not stable.

Hello there,

 

Was your problem ever solved? Running into the same thing right now on 12.5 with 8851's and 8861's. Only thing I can see in the network logs is the tzdb.dat file not being found. Other than that, I'm at a loss.

TZdb is part of TZupdater. TZupdater majorly used for updating of time on 8800 series. There is a known cosmetic bug. Try upgrading the firmware to the 12.6 fixed version

Update on this issue:

 

I have spoken to TAC and they recommended firmware version sip88xx.14-1-1-0001-125. This has been installed and we are still experiencing the same issue with tzdb.dat. For any of you that are having the same issues, I will keep updating you as I work through this.

Do you have a public Phone NTP Reference configured for the MRA phones?
