Hi
I'm trying to create a Chat request via API for SocialMiner, Software versions are
SM - 11.6.1.10000-25
UCCX - 11.6.1.10000-51
I'm using postman for testing purpose, Once I create the chat request, it shows in SM as unread and after seconds it moved to discard, But Agent Finesse Desktop Non-Voice Gadget is not receiving any notification for chat..
Anyone who used this before? any other gadget that we need to use?

Hi Sasith,
First of all, thanks for your interest in chat APIs!
You are on the right track - I can see that you are successfully able to inject a chat contact into SocialMiner.
However, your chat client, after injecting the chat contact needs to start polling (using the GET /ccp/chat API) for events from SocialMiner at least once every 5 seconds.
If chat clients do not do this, SocialMiner considers that the chat client (which injected this contact) has "disconnected" after 15 seconds, and therefore marks the chat contact as DISCARDED.
In general, to help you with your attempts at trying out these APIs, I'd like to point you to some sample code in GitHub that you can use as a reference, and even re-use / extend to your needs.

Hi Sasith,
Sure, reach out on webex teams if you need any specific help.
Although, I would still recommend asking questions here so any engineer from my team can help you.
Thanks,

Hi all,
Is there a way to get the regular SocialMiner chat request and build my own UI to handle the reply/response instead of using the default Finesse chat gadget?
Thanks!

Hi Nagendra,
I want to make a integration from socialminer to facebook messenger however I need more information about your link https://github.com/CiscoDevNet/socialminer-sample-code/tree/master/customer-chat to understand the process. I could see the devnet videos about your presentation about ccx and web chat was great but in this presenttion you recommended to see a devnet 1197, if it possible share that video to my mail ezabala@dima.com.bo.
Best Regards,
