CUIC 12.0.1.10000-24 - Reporting Issues

Hi,

The reporting tool in CCX will fail a couple times a year without anyone noticing. A reboot of the server corrects the reporting functionality but then we find the data from when the unnoticed failure occurred until the reboot is missing. Is this a bug?  Can someone also answer the below questions.

1. Is the missing data still in our system that you can help retrieve?
2. Is there a way we can be alerted or monitor the reporting tool so we can know when it stops recording/logging the reporting data?

Thanks,

I can't answer your one question, but the recommendation we had gotten for CCE CUIC was to reboot it every 3 months, same with Finesse.
Are you sure the data is missing from CUIC vs. your data sources?

Hi ,

Which version are you using?

Are you in a Ha deployment or single node?

Please let us know

Regards

Carlo

Like Bill suggested, you first need to see if the data is missing from actual source or is it just reporting tool issue. If data is missing from source itself, then you need to look accordingly.

Meanwhile to monitor the situation, I think you can schedule a report to yourself every morning and that way you can see if your reporting tool works correctly and take action proactively if it comes out blank or doesnt come out at all.

have you tried to run the File Restore.

Tools > Historical Reporting > File Restore .

If the DB goes down, the records a written in files on  the server.

From the CCX help page :

Use the File Restore area to restore the database records written to HR files when the database goes down.

In case of an High Availability setup, files from both the nodes are restored to the HR Database of the first and second node respectively. If it is unable to connect to the second node, you will see an alert message stating that the remote node is not reachable. When the second node comes up, the restored data will be replicated but you must repeat this Restore operation to restore the HR files, if any, on the second node.

if you look under CCX Servicability -> Tools -> Network Services

There is a service called

  • Cisco Unified Intelligence Center Reporting Service

This should be running for the CUIC is working.
