CVP Reporting Server Installation Password Error

Trying to install CVP 4.1 reporting server and I can't get past the Reporting Password screen. I've made the password as difficult as I possibly can and nothing seems to work. Anyone have any ideas?

This is the message that keeps appearing.

"Chosen password does not meet local security policy checks. Verify criteria such as Minimum Password Age."

Ideas - yes. Make it super long!

Geoff

Geoff,

I can always count on you for an answer... might not be the one I want to hear, but an answer none the less.

Yeah, I tried a super long password (Th!s!sMyP@55wordAnd!tD03sntW0rk), but nothing. I have a feeling it might be the AD security policies which might be hindering the installation, will report back.

david

David,

That was certainly a long one. It appears you have dealt with the normal AD password complexity issues. It's hard to see what would be preventing that password from passing any policy. Sorry I can't help.

Regards,

Geoff

Per the TAC:

We had them changed their domain password policy to MINIMUM PASSWORD AGE 0 days and re-ran setup. Because the user could now have their password changed multiple times in 0 days the installation was successful.

We had our AGE set to 1, changed it to 0, ran setup, and then changed it back to 1.

Presto!

david

Dear,

I am running CVP 7.0.1 on domain and getting the same error:

"Chosen password does not meet local security policy checks. Verify criteria such as Minimum Password Age."

I have configured the password minimum age to "0", but still getting the same error. Please help. Thanks
