Good day,

Couple of questions on ECE chat smiley’s in the customer login page/window.

Appreciate responses, as we are in the process of upgrading UCCE & ECE to 12.6.

ECE 11.6

  1. Does the emoji’s supported in Aqua template  - I know it’s available in Kiwi and it can be enable /disable using the showSmileyTool : true in egainLiveconfig.js file ; but these files are not present in Aqua templates;
  2.  Is it possible to add emoji’s in Aqua template  by adding showSmileyTool : true, (like in kiwi template);
  3. Does the ECE 12.6  Aqua template comes /default with emoji’s  ?  -  currently we use the aqua template with many customization and upgrade to 12.6 is in progress ; hence need to know emoji’s are supported in Aqua templates in the latest version by default or is it possible to insert ? (it’s not mentioned in any of the documents other than for kiwi templates)

Thanks

Note that with ECE 12.6 Aqua templates are deprecated. So it is recommended that you switch to new Aria templates on ECE 12.6.

However the response below holds good for both Aqua and Aria templates on ECE 12.6.

  1. Does the emoji’s supported in Aqua template  - I know it’s available in Kiwi;

               Aqua/Aria templates can display emojis sent by an agent in a message. Customer can’t send emojis.

  1.  Is it possible to add emoji’s in Aqua template  by adding showSmileyTool : true, (like in kiwi template);

             No. Such an option isn’t available in Aqua/Aria.

             No, Aqua/Aria doesn’t provide this feature by default and it can’t be inserted either through a customization.

Hi,

The ECE alias (ask-ece-dev@external.cisco.com) that you had already sent this question to is the right place to ask. You will get a better answer there.

Thanx,

Denise
