I am using CUCM 8.6 and a cisco IP communicator associated to the CUCM.

When i click "Services" on IP Phone, its showing Host Not Found Error.

I configured Extension Mobility Serivce and subscribed to this phone.

I am not able to see any services in my phone.

Why its showing Host Not Found error.

How can i resolve it.

Hi,

can you check the Services URL at the Device page for that particular phone.

If it's empty, check the Services URL in the Enterprise Parameters. It uses the hostname by default (http://hostname/service) so if the hostname is not resolvable by your phone, it will fail.

What you may want to do is to rewrite hostnames to IP addresses.

Hi,

Remove time Idle Timer (seconds) from "External Data Locations Information (Leave blank to use default)" in Phone settings.

Hope it will solve your issue.

Let me know your issue status.

Worked for me

Thank you, Nizam. Your solution worked for me.

Hi @Nizam.Ahmed ,

and if we want permanent fix,

All auto registered IP phones take their settings from the auto registration template, which is configured on Cisco Unified CM Configuration Page:

To edit that Auto-registration Template, go to
User Management -> User/Phone Add -> Universal Device Template.

Select Auto-registration Template. Scroll down to Service Configuration Settings and make sure that Idle and Idle Timer (seconds) are blank.

Worked for me. Thanks so much!
