In my scenario, I have an inbound call connected to an agent. The agent needs to call a third party to create a conference.
I send the CONSULT request, and once the third party outbound call answers, I send a CONFERENCE and then all 3 parties can talk to each other.
The problem is that the inbound leg of this call is put on hold while the outbound leg is ringing. I want the inbound and the agent to both hear the ringing and call progress of the outbound call.
How do I accomplish this, since the default CONSULT behavior is to place my inbound leg on hold?

I don't believe this is possible.

If CONSULT/CONFERENCE won't support it, is there any other way to accomplish this? It's a requirement of my application.

isn't possible to send the CONFERENCE just after the CONSULT (Don't wait for the 3party to answer).
