UCCE 9.0 Web Setup error: Authorization error: There is a problem accessing Instance OU information in the Active Directory domain. Contact your System Administrator.

Hi,

I'm trying to setup UCCE 9.0 for educational purpose following different documentation (documentation is very poor). These are the step followed:

1. UCCE has been installed on Server A
2. Domain controller has been created on Server B and user "ccenter" was created as a administrator user.
3. Server A was added to domain created. Server name is CCENTERE@UCCE.com
4. Domain Manager was setup (Attached image).
5. I got access to Web setup but when I tried to add a instance the following error was received: Authorization error: There is a problem accessing Instance OU information in the Active Directory domain. Contact your System Administrator. (Attached image).

The "ccenter" has been added to all Directory Domain server, including Cisco_ICM (Attached image).

Any advice would be appreciated.

Regards

~chintan

Leo, i was not able to reproduce this issue.

i created a domain user having domain admin role and tried to create instance and everything went well, don't know what exactly is hitting you.

could you check this on your UCCE Server for local group and user membership.

go to server manager --> configuration--> local users and groups --> double click on administrators group and check what all members you are seeing there?

regards

Chintan

Hi Chintan,

I was able to solve the issue re-installing UCCE with the Domain Credential.

For all your help (+5) .

Thanks

Hi Leo,

Am also facing the same error , I  have re-installed   with domain  login credentials and  working fine.

What is the login credentials using for Application software installation. If your using local login you will get the above error.

For best solution you have to  re-install with Domain login credentials.

Regards,
Ram.S

That made the trick. First time I installed UCCE using local credential.

I re-installed UCCE using Domain credential and it worked.

Thanks for the advice.
