So these are more of what you're running into? They are labeled as fixed, so perhaps ask TAC if that means they do now work in future versions?

Hello Tibin

i have faced the same issue. per my TAC case, it is not possible through
cli, and only workaround is to re install

Hi,

Thank you

Did Cisco TAC shared any reference document says password change is not possible?

while it is noted in the documentation that the cli command exists, the
output gives the impression that the password is changed. However, it does
not change it. the TAC engineer stated it as a document defect, and the
only workaround / resolution was to reinstall.

yes. from the documentation,  "utils reset_ui_administrator_password'' seems like do the job, but it not in my case.

that is what I ran into. It appears to have worked, but does not

Doesn't the note at the bottom of this defect imply that it is possible?

Hi Bill,

Thanks for your reply,

i can create new OS admin account (set account name ) or change OS admin password( set password user ), but didn't find a method for change the password or create a new login user for VVB web administration page(vvb ip/appadmin)

i ended up reinstalling

Try this:
utils reset_ui_administrator_password
