Call Manager 8.5 image upload issue

Dear All,

I am trying to upload call manager version 8.5 image through sFTP server. sFTP is configured properly.

But i dont know due what reason whenever i am trying to upload the image it is giving this error

No valid upgrade options were found


Please find attached screenshoot as well.

Kindly gudie me what could be the possible reasons for this error.

Please do on SUB .

Please share the output of command show bersion active and show version inactive from PUB.

Hi Malik,

You can generate the license file now before migrating to 8.5.

You can either write to Cisco Licensing team or go to www.cisco.com/go/license with PAK and MAC address of Pub.

Hi Malik,

The error that is being displayed indicates the need for the

CUCM 8.x license and in particular the "8.x software feature license"

Without that license the Callmanager service will NOT start and thus

the phones will not register.

Hi Malik,

Reverting to a previous version can be problematic

Have you tried uploading your new 8.x license(s)? Have you

tried contacting Cisco licensing to secure the required licenses @

licensing@cisco.com

If you must rollback follow these steps and watch for this serious caveat;

Note

If  you downgrade a cluster to a nonsecure previous release of Cisco  Unified Communications Manager (relases prior to Release 8.0), you must  prepare the cluster for rollback before you switch versions. If you do  not prepare the cluster for rollback before you revert to a previous  release, you will have to manually delete the ITL file on each Cisco  Unified IP Phone in the system. For more information, see Chapter 2,  "Security by Default," in the

Please let us know the running exact call manager version  along with exact version u are trying to upgrade.

1) Current Running Version-----------6.1.5.12900-7

2) Version to be uploaded  -----------UCSInstall_UCOS_UNRST_8.5.1.15900-4.sgn

You need to install COP file ciscocm.allow_upgrades_to_unrestricted.cop.sgn before u proceed with upgrdae.

is this the correct file

should i go ahead and download it

Just to inform you that i have three nodes in my network

1 publisher

and

2 subscriber

so first of all i should upload this cop file to publisher then to other subscriber node or just to the publisher

Please guide me if i am wrong

You need to upload the file in PUB abd SUB separately.

Hi Malik,

Most probably, restart message does not come.

After u install the COP file in PUB, if restart message comes, go ahead else install the COP on SUB as well.

After restart of both , install UCSInstall_UCOS_UNRST_8.5.1.15900-4.sgn

If no restart message appears, please install patch  UCSInstall_UCOS_UNRST_8.5.1.15900-4.sgn

I have uploaded the cop files to all the three nodes 1 pub and 2 subs

so should i proceed to upload the real image 8.5 to the pub
