Call Transfer feature works perfectly when dialed between internal numbers and also with PRI Lines but the issue comes when a call is received from a phone which is registered to a Call Manager Express router to a phone that is registered to CUCM. The Call just drops when we transfer the call to another internal number that is registered to the CUCM.
Has anyone come across this issue ?.

This is typical codec mismatch issue. Make sure you have the transcoder in place for calls between 3rd CME & CUCM. Your job is easier, Just compare working CME config with non working CME config. Other 2 has transcoder in place whereas the 3rd doesnt.
Pls rate the post if it helps.

Gibin,
It's always a best practice to mention software version details ( e.g. CUCM, CUCME etc ) in the issue description. It's also not clear how CUCM & CME are connected ( perhaps using a SIP trunk ? ). Is this an issue only from CME to CUCM or its from both ends ?
Anyways, enabling MTP on the trunk ( which connects CUCM & CME ) will fix this issue.
Please let me know how it goes.

Hi Gajanan,
Its a Inter-Cluster Trunk(Non Gatekeeper Controlled) created on the CUCM 6.1.5.10000-10
and the software version for the CUCME is 15.0(1)M2 / CME 7.1

Hi Gajanan,
I had 3 CUCME connected to the CUCM and the MTP was unchecked but when I checked the MTP in their trunks, calls from 2 CUCME works perectly with the transfer feature but for the third CUCME, it became worse, it doesnt even connect the call. It rings and as soon as you pick up it drops and engaged tone is heard and while we hear the engaged tone, the call comes again automtaiclly as line 2 and again drops when we pick up.

Hi Gajanan,
Yes it was a codec mismatch. Had missed out the codec commands on the third router. Its working perfectly now.
Thanks a lot for you help.

Hello.
I am running into a similar issue. Would be possible to post what codec mismatch you had in more details ?
Thanks a lot

Have you looked at the reason for the call drop?
You can take some logs on the gateway (CCME)...debug voip ccapi inout
Send that and we can look at why the call is dropping...Codec mismatch is just having two different types of codecs between call legs, this is configured on your dial-peers pointing to CUCM etc
