can we upgrade cucm/cuc when smart software license out of compliance?

hi guys,

i got 12.0 cucm/cuc registered to smart account. currently it reports "The system is operating with an insufficient number of licenses." and out of compliance.  70 days left and counting down.

cucm

can we upgrade to 12.5 with this error msg? or will it complain during upgrade?

I think you can, but I would advise against it. Better to sort out your licensing issue(s) first and then upgrade.

You can Upgrade.

Find out the reason for License Compliance issue and resolve it. Make sure you assigned Proper Owner field  On devices. If you added additional devices remove those devices to make it compliance.
