CANNOT DOWNLOAD MOH .WAV FILES FROM CUCM CONSOLE

Tried 5 different SFTP servers with no success. From the CUCM console, I entered the command: FILE GET ACTIVELOG MOHPREP/*.to retrieve all of the MOH .WAV files, however I cannot get any of the SFTP servers to work without some sort of authentication or path error. I have also tried both ports 21 & 22. Does anyone have a suggestion which SFTP server to use for Windows 7 or do you know where I can find the .WAV files for my CCIE Voice lab?

Many thanks,

Ron

It generally works with CoreFTP and freeFTPd. If you are facing network issues then try using a PC in the same subnet as the callmanager to rule out network issues.

Hi Manish:

I'm not dealing with netwok issues because the SFTP server sees the request coming through. I'm getting an error that the path is invalid.

Thanks,

Can you share the output of

file list activelog mohprep/*

and

file get activelog mohprep/*

until the point where it fails

If you are running CUCM 7 or earlier you should be able to open the TAR files created by DRS and find the wav files within.

This will not work for CUCM 8 or later as the backups are encrypted (I wish this could be turned off as it is a useful way of getting stuff from the servers ).

Re: SFTP servers I normally use the free Solarwinds one.

I would test the server by using it to upload software (firmware, locale, dial-plan etc.) to CUCM. If this works then the server should be ok for downloads from CUCM.

Hi Ron.

Using a Macbook, I usually use my native scp server.

A few minutes ago a tried to install freeftpd from this site

http://www.freesshd.com/?ctt=download and istalled on windows7

A couple of minute of setup and all was working fine.

here my logs

Thanks Carlo. I'll give it a try and get back to you..

Ron

I couldn't get Solarwinds to work because I didn't have the authorization to start the SFTP server. I tried to install it as Administrator but I didn't give me that option. Also, my firewall is disabled...

Thanks,

Ron

If you have tried five different SFTP servers and non of them work then I would try testing using a different PC.
