I hope someone has the easy fix for what I'm missing....I have a cisco wireless ip phone that's been working perfectly for about a year. I want to reassign to one of my team members with a different extension. No change to the phone setup, just different extension & I get "Telephone Service is unavailable" & registration is rejected.
What am I missing?

Your not giving any information on what phone system you have, so I’m going to assume that you have CM. If so you change the directory number that is assigned to device in CM.

As Roger said, we have limited data on your setup, but if it is CUCM I'd check that the phone is built as the correct model and try clearing the security settings (ITL/CTL) on the device. Those are pretty common reasons for a registration to get rejected in my experience.
