Hi,
I recently upgraded the IOS of the router of our customer to have a CME ver. 9.5. After the upgrade, the cme-srst license type became "EvalRightToUse", and the license state became "Not in Use, EULA not accepted". So I configured the router to accept EULA and reload. After that, IP phones and ATAs starts working and the license is now "Active, In Use".
However, I am wondering that the period left became "8 weeks 4 days". Previously, before the upgrade was done, it was "540 weeks 2 days". Please refer below the satus of CME-SRST license BEFORE the IOS upgrade:
CME#show license detail cme-srst
Feature: cme-srst Period left: 540 weeks 2 days
Index: 1 Feature: cme-srst Version: 1.0
License Type: Evaluation
License State: Active, In Use
Evaluation total period: 208 weeks 2 days
Evaluation period left: 123 weeks 4 days
Expiry date: Aug 08 2015 17:05:39
License Count: 5000/500/0 (Active/In-use/Violation)
License Priority: Low
Store Index: 23
Store Name: Evaluation License Storage
1. Is there any way to bring back the "540 weeks 2 days" ?
2. What will happen after "8 weeks 4 days" period? the IP phones and ATAs will stop working?
NOTE: customer already purchased the CME-SRST license before the upgrade was done.
hoping for help...
thanks,
shawn

Hi Shawn,
Just refer this link
http://blog.vuurmuur.com/?p=32
Licensing functionality is working as per design here. Cme-srst licenses are honor based and hence you have to just accept the EULA. After the 60 days of EvalRightToUse the license will change to "right to use" for 12 years.

Hi Shawn,
Since u have already accepted EULA and CME-SRST licenses are honour based, the license type would change to RTU after 8 weeks ,4 days.
