CUCM Self Care Portal Address Change

Instead of forwarding the https://<CUCMPUb_IPAdress>/ucmuser address to the end users, we plan to create a URL and make it transfer to this address on DNS. Is it okay to take such an action in this regard?

Hi,

As long as your DNS can resolve to the call manager IP address, it should be accessible.

create an A record in the DNS for your new URL entry which resolves to call manager IP.  I believe it should be alright. but the users may find a certificate error until you add the new FQDN in your SAN entry of your call manager tomcat certificate.

Regards,

What are you trying to achieve?

Which address do you mean with "and make it transfer to this address on DNS."?

You can make custom  name for self care and from dns resolve to this to  cucm IP address.

since the host name doesn’t match with the cert, you gone have the certificate warnings.

As @Shalid Kurunnan Chalil  mentioned Add the self care FQDN as San name on the cucm cert.
