Deactivate Application Dial Rules for Cisco IP Phone 8861

hey guys,

since firmware version 11.x App Dial Rules are support for the Phone 8861. I have one customer where i am running into problems with this feature.

They configured App Dial Rules because they use a different dial-plan for dialing out of CUCI.

Example call to Hamburg:

Dialing from phone (8961):

0040123456789 would be translated to +4940123456789

Dialing from CUCI:

0040123456789 would be translated to +40123456789

Dialing from phone (8861):

0040123456789 would be translated to +40123456789

The problem is that the dialing behaviour with the new phones 8861 would be different for the user.

Is there any possibilty to disable the App Dial Rules feature for that phones?

regard

Stefan

Application Dial rules are system wide and thus problematic for many deployments where different dial plans are in use. I am not aware of a way to disable it just for certain devices.

8800 phones support ADR since 11.0 firmware, downgrade the phone firmware to 10.3.1 this will disable ADR's.

thanks for the quick reply.

temporarily it is a good solution with firmware version 10.3.1. But the customer would not accept that because of Cisco support. If there is an issue with the phones, the first step would probably be to update the firmware. And then I am running into the same problem again.

Hi Jitender,

the ES works! The bug fix will be included in the next main release 11.7. (end CY 16)

I have overlooked the following line:

"ADRs only apply for shared mobile contacts and recent calls to network dialable numbers"

thanks for your support.

regards

Stefan
