Was asked to look at a system running 10.5 that was upgraded from 8.6. When I log into the system on the splash page I see 2 vCPUs, 2 80 Gbytes disks, 6 GB RAM. Looking through the 8.6 OVA it looks as though that was the 7500 user server. Is that correct?
On Unity I'm seeing 4 vCPU, 2 146 GB disks, and 6 GB RAM which looks like it correlates to a 10,000 user system. There are currently only ~350 phones/users in both CUCM and CUC.
Can these systems be migrated to smaller deployment specs? Or would it be better to deploy new OVA's using the 10.5 or 11.5 OVA for the same user counts and then migrate to those new servers (via fresh install and DRS) if changing hardware?

Thanks for the link. Looking at that, is 10.5 SU2 not supported on a BE7K? Will be upgrading to 11.5 over the summer but wanted to migrate to the new hardware first of possible (currently the servers are running on BE6Ks).
I recall downsizing wasn't supported so was going to migrate them to the matching 10,000 user OVA for 10.5 or 11.5.

Hi there
The specs currently running matches with 7500 users. This is because during the installation, the OVA template for 7500 users were selected. Since you have around 350 users/phones, you dont even need to go with BE7K. A BE6K should be suffice for you.
Hope this helps!
Cheers
Rath!
